Sheffield has a diverse array of cliques and tribes, events and scenes. It’s all very well to have these hidden little groups, but it limits what the community as a whole is capable of.
So here’s a hack to start putting some kind of activity map together. This is about what your doing that’s interesting and exciting, upcoming events and activities, but also about collectives, artists, scientists, mad professors and geeks. If your doing it let everyone know.
How?
Step 1. Sign up.
Get yourself on del.icio.us if your not there already, http://del.icio.us and sign up, add browser buttons to your tool bar http://del.icio.us/help/buttons to make it easier to tag pages.
Step 2. Share
When you find a page (or know of a page you’d like to add) click the Tag icon, in the tags box type sheffieldscene, along with any other tags and notes you may want to add.
Step 3. Subscribe
Find subscriptions link, through settings menu and subscribe to the sheffieldscene tag. Anything now tagged as sheffieldscene will come into your subscriptions feed.
That’s all for the time being, knowledge is power so lets be collectively aware first then we can work out what to do with it.
